Oranges are low in vitamin D but rich in other important nutrients such as vitamin C. Tangerines are low in vitamin D but contain many other nutrients such as vitamin C and fibre.
What other foods contain vitamin D?
If you choose to supplement naturally, you can also eat milk, dairy products, sardines, salmon, tuna, cod and eggs in addition to mushrooms. Some types of mushrooms, such as shiitake mushrooms and white mushrooms, naturally contain vitamin D. However, the amount is generally low and can vary depending on the type of mushroom and the method of cultivation.
